In the last few years Columbus and surrounding areas have provided us with much needed fenced areas to exercise our dogs. Two new parks, Wheeler Dog Park and Sycamore Fields opened last month. Below is a listing of the wonderful fenced public dog parks in our area.

Alum Creek Dog Park
3992 Hollenback Road
Lewis Center, Ohio
A 4-acre free public dog park at the Alum Creek State Park. It includes fully fenced areas for small & large dogs and a dog beach at the lake. All areas have shade trees and benches. Drinking water is provided seasonally.

Big Walnut Dog Park
5000 E Livingston Ave
Columbus, OH 43227
3 fenced acres in Big Walnut Park, 2 double-gated entrances,  pond access for the dogs to swim and lighting. There are separate small dog and large dog areas. There is a porta-potty facility on site.

Nando's Dog Park
Darree Fields
Cosgray and Sheir Rings Rds.
Dublin Ohio
The dog park offers both a small and large dog area for dogs to run, play and roam. The total space is two acres and the large breed area has a walking area for owners. In addition, there are benches, a picnic table and trash cans.

Pizzurro Park and “Dog Park”
940 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna
This beautiful park includes over 23 acres of family enjoyment.  Pizzurro Park is also home to a "Dog Park", which includes a 4 acre fenced area where dogs may run off-leash.  The dog park includes a fenced area for small dogs, 25 lbs. or less, and an agility area for all dogs.

Westerville Brooksedge Bark Park

4 fenced acres, small dog area, water, benches, picnic tables

Wheeler Dog Park
Wheeler Memorial Park

Columbus, Ohio
1.5 acres fenced, with a path, benches, and drinking water.  The terrain is hilly and open, allowing for a lot of good exercise for the pooches.  No separate small dog area.
